Follow Jesus

Jesus started off his ministry in an incredibly unique way… He just started asking people to follow him. This is how it always begins. This is how it was intended to begin. Jesus isn’t asking you to change anything at this point. You’re not giving up anything. You’re not committing to anything. Jesus starts at one place, “Would you just follow me.” Come and see what this whole idea of Jesus is really all about.

Believe Jesus

Jesus wanted to live his life and teach in such a way that people would understand who God is. As people began to follow Jesus, something happened on the inside of them. At different points along the way, they actually began to BELIEVE in Him. They accepted that He is who He said He was. That He is the son of God who had come to save humanity through his death, burial, and resurrection.

The first story we read in the gospels about Jesus as an adult is His baptism. The last thing Jesus said to His disciples before ascending into heaven was that they should go throughout the world making disciples and baptizing them. Though it is not a prerequisite for salvation, baptism is obviously a very important activity in the New Testament. Interested in finding out more?

In the New Testament an interesting thing happened… The people who followed Jesus, started to believe that Jesus was who he claimed to be. They began doing an interesting thing; They began to DO the things that Jesus taught them to DO. This is the idea of discipleship. We become so grateful for what Jesus has done for us, that we start to live our lives to become more and more like him. In the church world this process is called discipleship. The beautiful part of discipleship is, as we follow Jesus, we begin to invite others to join us.

Hope Culture Church exists to create a culture of hope, everywhere. If you would like to speak to someone about how you can become a part of the hope movement, email us at
